Al-Farwaniyah Hospital

Located at Al-Farwaniya, State of Kuwait in Farwaniya governorate the department is an instrumental segment of Al-Farwaniya Hospital. It includes several general and subspecialty dermatological clinics. The number of general clinics is 9 and the subspecialty clinics are 9 which includes atopic dermatitis clinic, psoriasis clinic, contact dermatitis clinic, hidradenitis suppurativa clinic, urticaria and patch test clinic, bullous diseases clinic, hyperhidrosis clinic, vitiligo clinic, and pediatric dermatology clinic. The department also includes 4 phototherapy and laser clinics.

Moreover, the department has 1 minor operation theater and a dermatopathology unit.

Additionally, the department provides high-level teaching programs for several residents from the Kuwaiti Board including dermatology, family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatrics for undergraduate students of the faculty of medicine from Kuwait’s University.

The head of department (Dr. Abeer Al-Bazali) is one of the well-known and esteemed dermatologists in Kuwait, general secretary of the Kuwait Society of Dermatologists, and the program director of the Kuwait Board of Dermatology. The coordinators of teaching for the Kuwaiti Board Programs (Dr. Jumana Al-Rayyes, Dr. Arun Joshi) are very active and hardworking dermatologists at the hospital.
