Abdulkareem Al-Saeed Dermatology Center (Al-Amiri Hospital)

The department was established in 2014 and is affiliated with Amiri Hospital. Located in Abdullah Al-Salem Area near Kuwait City, it has been providing high-level dermatological healthcare for several areas in Kuwait at Al-Asimah (capital) governorate. The department contains 24 general dermatology clinics, 6 specialty dermatology clinics, 3 phototherapy clinics, 5 laser clinics, and 3 minor operation theaters (OT).

The subspecialty clinics are designated for specific dermatological conditions such as hair diseases clinic, hyperhidrosis clinic, hidradenitis suppurativa clinic, urticaria clinic, psoriasis clinic, and atopic dermatitis clinic.

The specialized units in the department provide both diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients which were mentioned above including phototherapy unit, laser unit, minor OT, dermatopathology unit, mycology unit, pediatric dermatology unit, and contact dermatitis unit.

Additionally, the department has been providing high-level teaching programs for several residents from the Kuwaiti Board including dermatology, family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics and for undergraduate students of the faculty of medicine from Kuwait’s University.

The head of department (Dr. Mohammed AlOtaibi) is one of the well-known and esteemed dermatologists in Kuwait. The coordinators of teaching for the Kuwaiti Board Programs (Dr. Tareq Al-Aenizi, Dr, Doaa AlAwadhi) are very active and hardworking dermatologists at Abdulkarim Al-Saeed Dermatology Center.
